Lunch is served at home

See my creation. This is what i tried to create rather than cook, mince chicken burger... at first i added raw onion and realised that it need to be fried golden then add and mix. Which I finally did.

Then I forgot to add eggs, instead I added three instead of one required and it became so soggy. mmm, quick thinking, add more bread crumb, home made crumbs, finally it turned out picture perfect.

Finally served with lettuce, cucumber, arvocado, beetroot.....yummy. A frction of a cost and home made.

Lunch at Regent - chinese yum cha resturant -Chinatown

Today it was quite warm, as almost mild summer's day. My social calender is picking up.

We walked from home to Chinatown to meet my friends for lunch at Regant - yum Chat resturant. The food was just great and I tried to eat some nice dishes....mango desert, yum. My friends offered me to eat the chicken feet, it looked nicely coated and cooked but again I did not try to eat it. I know it must be tasty and is part of the chicken but we never ate that so that makes me not to try it. I Should one. I loved the food and can do it again there anytime.

Following lunch, quick shopping at the Hay Market and then back home on foot over the bridge.

Dinner at Koh-ya yakiniku at Netural Bay

Last night we had dinner at Ko-ya yakiniku at Netural Bay with two of my goods friends whom I have not spent much time lately. It was a great suggestion to go to this Japanese BBQ. The atmosphere was great and the smell of BBQ thoroughly thin summer like thin air from miles away. Yesterday the weather was blessed with summer type of weather and lot of people were out and about.

The BBQ

The BBQ was interesting and it is not like the Aussie BBQ I know of where you put your sausages and lamp chops and someone cooks for you and then serves you while you wave your palm of the hands to keep the flies away. This was much refined. You place your order and get what you want to self cook and eat as it is cooking. It was nice as we ate, we could talk over and catch up on things we were not able to do for a while. These two friends are quite close to my heart and it was just nice sitting and eating, talking. I must admit I ate a lot.....I tried to even BBQ the cabbage ...mmmm did not go so well.

The interesting thing that caught my eye was the small fish -Shishyamo. I did not try it but it looked good. The other thing that caught my attention was the ox tongue thinly sliced and looked great on the BBQ. My friends loved it, they asked me to try but I did not have the courage but one day I will, I must get drunk first. It was a lovely night, followed by coffee at my home. Hey, we should do it again on a regular basis.

I have taken some pictures to show on my mobile phone as did not carry my Nikon SLR.

Time to reveal my new toy

The Nikon D X 40 SLR is my latest new toy. I have yet to master the technique for photography.

I am sure the next time I will be able to produce a bit more better pictures. Watch out for weekend pictures this weekend.

Nikon D40 x

Hooray, don't know what came over me and we went and bought this beautiful SLR Nikon Camera to satisfy my quest for digital photography. I was so excited all day and could not wait, so we went down near my home, a few minutes away to shoot some good and bad pictures.

I am still trying to learn and must tell you there is a lot to learn about picture shooting. You can monitor my skills as time goes by. For now enjoy some of my shots.

Pick Pocket - Beware

Today, we were just in Belmore, inner west of Sydney, say about 12 air KM from Sydney's CBD to look at a 2 bedroom unit which we were interested in. I have been once before to Belmore two weeks ago and truly it is a nice place, interestingly one side is dominated by Korean community and the other side middle eastern looks.

The most interesting sign that I was on the street was a pick pocket sign.......this is the first time I have seen such a sign in Sydney for most of my life I lived here. However, despite the warning, it felt safe.
